We found a whole bin of Blanca that was missing in the cooler, so we have quite a bit of this one back in stock.
Also commonly known as Pilifera, although that is technically the name of a botanical variety that may cover more than one cultivar. Probably a Colombian variety, but we don’t know that for certain. If you are going to grow mashua primarily for food and you can only grow one variety, it should be Blanca. Tubers are long and white with purple eyes and some irregular purple blushing and can range from an inch to a foot long. This can be a very high yielding variety when allowed to climb and spread. Mild flavor for mashua; this is the one that we are most likely to choose when cooking up some mashua for dinner.
Contains enough material to grow at least two plants. There may be two tubers, two pieces, or a large tuber that can be cut in two.
