This item is a pre-order for our 2017 crop, to be delivered between fall 2017 and spring 2018.
Long narrow tubers, up to a foot long, although more commonly about half that. Yellow-white with red-purple markings, and always clean and unblemished for us. The tubers are beautiful and the flowers are much redder than other varieties. Otherwise, this one isn’t one of our favorites as an edible. The flavor is nearly as pungent as Ken Alset and the yield is fairly low for mashua (although better than Ken Aslet). Makes a nice companion ornamental for Ken Aslet due to the different flower color.
Contains enough material to grow at least two plants. There may be two tubers, two pieces, or a large tuber that can be cut in two.
