This item is a pre-order for our 2017 crop, to be delivered between fall 2017 and spring 2018.
Satsop comes from a complex lineage that includes Ken Aslet, Blanca, Bogota Market, and wild mashua. It brings earlier flowering, large tuber size, good yield, and somewhat milder flavor together. Unlike our other new introduction, Hoh, it is vulnerable to cracking, so it is probably not a good choice for sodden soils, but if you are growing in well drained soil, it should perform very well. It is a good compromise for an edible ornamental, flowering a bit later than Ken Aslet, but improving on Ken’s strong flavor and poor yield.
Contains enough material to grow at least two plants. There may be two tubers, two pieces, or a large tuber that can be cut in two.
