This item is a pre-order for our 2017 crop, to be delivered between fall 2017 and spring 2018.
Unfortunately, Moclips was planted in the part of our field that flooded in 2016 and we lost most of the crop, so there won’t be any more available this year.
One of our two 2015 ulluco introductions. The varieties Humptulips and Moclips were grown from seed and may be the first seed-grown varieties offered for sale anywhere since the Incas were breeding the crop. Ulluco seed has long been regarded as nearly impossible to produce, but we’ve been doing it for several years now and we’re looking forward to producing improved varieties for North America.
Moclips was our first seedling and in what seems to be a pretty big coincidence, the best of the bunch. The plants were large and weathered the drought well. They also set quite a bit of true seed.
