Skirret, 3 offsets

These are offsets from seed-grown plants.  Plant out in late fall in mild winter climates or in spring in colder climates.  Can be potted and kept dormant in a cold spot over the winter.  While skirret seed is a bit fussy and skirret seedlings are slow growing, offsets will quickly and easily grow into a skirret plant.  You can take your own offsets after the first year to propagate vegetatively.  The plants will also set a lot of seed, so planting them in the middle of an area where you would like more skirret and allowing them to drop their seeds is a good strategy. 3 offsets  / $7. Note that the above picture shows full skirret root bundles.  You are buying the smaller white sprouted parts of the crown.  Offsets are perishable and should be potted immediately on receipt.
