This item is a pre-order for our 2017 crop, to be delivered between fall 2017 and spring 2018.
Tubers are small and yellow/white, sometimes developing a little pink at the eyes. The flavor is pretty mild, although stronger than most of the white varieties. I think this is the earliest of the fall flowering varieties, but position changes a little from year to year. Those are its good features. Unfortunately, at least here, the yields are terrible and the plants are small and weak. I’ve put it through the usual cleanup routine, thinking that it might have a virus, but that didn’t result in any noticeable improvement. Unless you are planning to use it for breeding or are an obsessive completist, I don’t recommend that you purchase this variety, certainly not if your primary interest is in growing it for food.
