|Solanum albornozii information and growing instructions|
Solanum albornozii is a rare wild diploid potato species from Southern Ecuador. It has very distinctive long and ruffled leaves. Tubers are moniliform – like beads on a string. This species has unusually high mineral concentrations, including potassium, sulfur, zinc, manganese, iron, and copper. It has potentially valuable resistances to Colorado potato beetle, late blight, and some potato viruses.
