Accession Details
An andigena type tetraploid collected in Potosi Bolivia in 1983. A1 type cpDNA (Sukhotu 2005).
Observations
TPS. Round, ovate, elliptic. White or white with a little blue around the eyes or proximal end. Most probably short day, a few long day. Mid to long stolons. Heavy stolon mat. Large plants. Huge tuber count, in excess of 200 tubers on some plants. Tubers not bitter, starchy texture.
Commentary
Initial seed increase 5.7g. Originally identified as just Solanum spp., probably indicating some confusion about ID. I can sympathize, as these are weird plants. Feels like a wild cross.
