Oca information and growing instructions |
I no longer offer this variety as tubers (seeds are occasionally available) due to exceptionally poor resistance to fungal conditions. Cherry Red is a good substitute.
Pink Dragon was one of the first new varieties of oca to be grown from seed outside the Andes. Pink/Red tubers have a mild flavor. Plants are tall and vigorous and flower abundantly.
There is just one problem with this variety: it doesn’t store as well as most. It will be fine for a couple of months, but the tubers start to wither after that. They will still last long enough to plant, but they are often not appealing to eat by then.
